Telegram Guard, extension, widget and public API

Bring RugWard scans into your Telegram group, your browser, your website or your own app.

Telegram Group Guard#

Add @RugWardBot to your Telegram group. Whenever someone posts a token contract address, it replies with a short verdict: honeypot simulation, taxes, owner powers and liquidity. The chain is detected automatically.

Setup in 3 steps

  1. Tap Add RugWard to your group on rugward.com/telegram and pick your group. Telegram asks to make the bot an admin with *Delete messages* and *Ban users*; only *Delete messages* is used (for the optional DANGER clean-up).
  2. Post /settings in the group to confirm the bot is active. Auto-scan is on by default.
  3. Optional: an admin sends /danger_delete_on to auto-delete messages that promote tokens flagged DANGER.

Anti-spam: each address is answered once per 10 minutes per chat, scans are rate-limited per chat, and edited messages are ignored. The bot is free and never asks for payments, keys or seed phrases. The same bot sends DCA reminders.

Browser extension#

The RugWard extension scans a token from your toolbar, or by selecting an address on any page and choosing Scan with RugWard from the right-click menu.

  • Status: built and tested (version 0.1.0, Manifest V3), not yet listed in the Chrome Web Store or Edge Add-ons. Only install it from an official store link published on rugward.com/extension; copies from anywhere else are not ours.
  • Permissions: contextMenus (one right-click item) and https://rugward.com/* (the only site it talks to).
  • No account, no wallet connection, no keys, no content scripts (it does not read the pages you visit), no analytics.

Embeddable widget#

Add a free, read-only token scanner to any website with one line of HTML. Configure the chain, an optional fixed token (for a project's own page) and the theme on rugward.com/widget, then copy the code:

Free, no key needed; fair-use limits apply per visitor. The widget shows the automated verdict and top findings; Full report opens rugward.com in a new tab. Wording on your site should not promise that a token is safe.

Public API#

The same engine as the website, as JSON over HTTPS with CORS enabled. Get a free key on rugward.com/api-docs (project name and acceptance of the API terms).

  • Send the key in the x-api-key header, never in the URL.
  • Free tier: 1,000 requests per day and 60 per minute per key. Headers x-ratelimit-remaining-day and x-ratelimit-limit-day show your quota; the daily limit resets at 00:00 UTC.
  • Errors: 400 invalid input, 401 missing or invalid key, 429 rate or daily limit, 451 unavailable in your region, 502/504 chain nodes slow (retry with backoff).
  • Scan results are cached for 10 minutes. Credit "Data: RugWard" where results are shown; do not resell raw results or share keys.

This public scan API is separate from the RugWard Pay merchant API, which uses rwp_ keys.
