Bitcoin and Monero tools

Check a BTC or XMR address, inspect a Bitcoin transaction or PSBT before signing, fix a stuck payment, spot fake Monero wallets, check a remote node and create shareable Monero payment proofs.

Bitcoin Tools has six tabs. Bitcoin data is read by your browser from the public mempool.space API (Blockstream as backup), so RugWard never sees your addresses or keys.

rugward.com/bitcoin-tools: address checker, transaction and PSBT inspectors, fees, wallet connect, Monero payment check
TabWhat it does
Address checkerValidates a Bitcoin (or Monero) address before you send: format, network and type.
Transaction inspectorReads any Bitcoin transaction: fee, change, and risky patterns.
PSBT inspectorDecodes a PSBT before you sign it: inputs, outputs, fee, change, sighash types and risky-pattern checks.
Fees & stuck txLive fee levels and plain steps for a stuck payment.
Connect walletRead-only connection to UniSat, Xverse, Leather or OKX.
Monero payment checkProves a Monero payment with its tx key.

Monero tools#

Monero Tools are key-free: RugWard never asks for your seed, private spend key or private view key, and none of these tools need them. If any site, app or "support agent" asks for your seed, it is a scam.

Monero tools
rugward.com/monero: fake wallet checker, node checker, payment proofs and more
  • Fake wallet & site checker. Paste a website, a link or a wallet download URL. RugWard compares it with the official Monero sites (from getmonero.org/downloads), looks for look-alike domains (typos, other endings, foreign look-alike letters), checks a public phishing feed, the domain's age and HTTPS. The page itself is never opened or downloaded.
  • Remote node checker. Enter host:port. RugWard calls the node's public get_info, compares the height with independent reference nodes, and checks sync, version, restricted RPC and TLS. Allowed ports: 80, 443, 8443, 18081, 18083, 18089; private and local addresses are refused. A table of public nodes is checked every 15 minutes (listing is not an endorsement: any remote node sees your IP).
  • Shareable payment proof. Turn a Monero payment into a link for a buyer, seller or support team. Use a tx proof (OutProofV2… from the sender or InProofV2… from the recipient, made with get_tx_proof <txid> <address> [message] in the CLI or Advanced → Prove/check in the GUI) or the tx key. RugWard checks it against two independent Monero nodes and saves only the result: transaction id, recipient address, verified amount, block and time.
  • Merchants directory (/monero/merchants): a moderated list of shops that accept XMR, with a safety scan of every site and community ratings.
  • Compare swap rates (/monero/rates): live rates from public exchange APIs next to RugWard's estimate, with RugWard's fee shown.
  • Network status & alerts (/monero/alerts): block height, node status and official notices, with opt-in alerts by email or Telegram.
  • Privacy guides (/monero/guides): short, sourced guides on remote nodes, verifying downloads, subaddresses, keys and payment proofs.

Users are responsible for complying with their local laws. The tools give automated signals, not a promise that a site or payment is safe.
